Should you wish to restore data from specific project samples, you can use the Gencove Platform to make your individual selections. To restore samples for large projects, we recommend downloading the Gencove CLI:
- How to restore data using the CLI
- How to restore data using the API (You'll want to pay particular attention to the commands under the project header)
Note: Sample restoration can take up to 50 hours. Upon restoration, sample deliverables are available to download again but for only 12 days, after which they will return back to the Archive.
You'll first need to login to your Gencove account. Once you have successfully signed in to your account on the Gencove platform, you will automatically be directed to the “My Projects” tab view.
In the middle of the screen you'll see a list of the projects you have conducted on the Gencove platform, select the appropriate Project Name by clicking on the blue labeled View text, located toward the right of the screen. This will expand to that project's overview.
Scroll toward the middle of the page or until you get to the Project Samples header. This will list all of the samples that have been uploaded for that project. You can restore data for all samples with an 'Archived' label in the Archive Status column. To do so, simply click on the box next to the sample name to check it, then click on the blue button "Restore" to begin the restore process.
